New page of maxims

Just added a new page to this blog. Already had a page of “quotable quotes” (check it out), of quotes from other people that inspire me. New page is basically quoting myself (narcissistic, I know), trying to be wise or clever or some such in a pithy kind of way. Called Lansing’s Maxims, it’s a distillation of things I’ve said or written over the years that I think are worth preserving.

Here are a few:

If you’re gonna have words coming out of your mouth, you might as well be saying something.

Close to half the country is ready to vote for dystopia out of fear of dystopia. Sometimes snake oil comes with the snake.

You might not be into politics but politics is definitely into you. Choose wisely.

The Invisible Hand is a pickpocket.

Some folks think they can lift themselves up by pressing other folks down. Much better to lift everyone up together.

More can be found on the page.
